Our Story

Established in July 1995, Nubian-1 Construction Limited is the brainchild of principals Wayne Gadishaw, Meva Gadishaw and Lenworth Kelly. The principals are experienced engineers and business professionals with a combined forty-five (45) years of relevant experience.

Nubian boasts extensive expertise in civil engineering, building construction, productivity and project management. The company has carved a name for itself in the local construction industry and provides services to an extensive network of local and international clients. Nubian incorporates project controls that ensure maintenance to schedules, adherence to financial controls, adequacy of information management and reporting and quality assurance and control.

The company’s workforce consists of fully qualified and trained engineers and vastly experienced team of trade subcontractors and artisans, all of whom in conjunction with supervisory and technical staff, strive for constant delivery of high-quality standards in engineering, construction and project management.

Nubian has completed a number of projects both in the public and private sectors for which the company has been revered with a number of accolades for the quality and craftsmanship of the work delivered. The company boasts an enviable track record in executing our services and administering projects.

Nubian is listed on the Jamaican Government’s Register of Public Sector Contractors for building construction works and civil engineering work and is organized to deliver expertise in building construction, civil engineering, and project management.

Two of the company’s principals are registered professional engineers under the Professional Engineers Registration Act of Jamaica and our management, technical and supervisory personnel have extensive tertiary and on- the-job training.

Nubian has completed a number of projects both in the public and private sectors and boasts an enviable track record. Some of the projects undertaken in the recent past include:

Construction of Half Moon Fern Tree Spa valued at over $250 million Jamaican dollars
Renovation of the Rosehall Resorts valued at $4 million United States dollars
Construction of 160,000 sq. feet of Factory Building, National Meats valued at over $300 million Jamaican dollars.
